Welcome to Dyalog !
This readme includes details of how to install Dyalog, any errata, and a list of some of the places where you can find out more about Dyalog.
We hope you enjoy and have fun using Dyalog!
If you are new to APL then you can find out more at any of these places:
This is the unregistered version of Dyalog 14.0. If you believe that your image is for the wrong licence, please contact sales@dyalog.com
Note: There are some changes to the installation process for Dyalog version 14.0; even if you have installed Dyalog before, it is worth reading these instructions.
To perform a default installation of Dyalog:
A note for those who have installed previous versions of Dyalog: with Dyalog version 14.0 it is not necessary to extract the files from the setup.zip file or to right-click on setup.exe and select "Run as Administrator". This is because setup.exe now automatically asks for elevated privileges; you will still need to permit the installer to run with these privileges. The reboot after having installed Dyalog is still required.
Note also that setup.exe in the Microsoft Windows installation images has been digitally signed with Dyalog Ltd's certificate. This is the first step towards signing all of the executables that are supplied with Dyalog, a process which will continue over the next few releases.
Additional information about installing Dyalog can be found here on the Dyalog Forums.
The unregistered version has no update mechanism; Dyalog will update the installation image from time to time.
If you have multiple versions of Dyalog installed on your PC, uninstalling any version might result in the APL fonts being uninstalled. Dyalog has placed a zip file containing the APL fonts here so that you can download and reinstall them.
There are more details in the FAQ section of the Dyalog Forums.
